Superstition

This weeks Illustration Friday topic is "Superstition". I suppose if you were superstitious and living in the land and time of the Pharos , you might be very tempted to have a Scarab as a keepsake for good luck. My luck is not so hot however today. I've edited and uploaded this image about nine times, but I cannot figure out where the heck the white line running up and down the right side of the image is coming from. I have too much to do today to try and fix it right now. I'll try again later. Has anyone else had this happen to you?

Don't know if you heard about this virtual pet site but the Scarabs reminds me of Neopets! Haha. I miss those days!

Nice piece of work by the way (:

I really like your Scarab. The way the colors glow, it looks more like a jewel than a beetle.

A gorgeous image! That white line must be some sort of superstition :)

Very Nice work!

since you use blogger to upload your photo perhaps that is where the line comes from... the way it's sized or resized by blogger.

thanks for visiting my blog.

The white line happens to me all the time. It's probably on the image itself rather than a code issue. Now I feel like one of those guy who point out that the UFO is really a frisbee...

Great image by the way, very much like a jewel.

Oooh! Pretty, pretty. I'd take a superstition like that any day.
Maybe if I wear a scarab jewel, it will keep the japanese beetles out of my garden in the summer. Hmmm....

You have great command of color, and a real mature style judging from your previous posts. Maybe the white line came from resizing the image?

Wow, Valeriannah! That Scarab is gorgeous, I bet it will bring you good luck forever ;)

..and yup, that white line is really annoying. That usually happens to me when I open a file in Photoshop that has being created in Freehand. I cut the line before saving the illo.
